Your data protection rights
In the wellbeing services county of North Savo, we shall process your personal data for various purposes and in different ways, depending on the context. Your personal data may be processed, for example, when providing health care or social welfare services.
You have certain rights with regard to the processing of your personal data. Using your rights may require that we will be able to identify you reliably. The scope of your rights depends partly on the legal basis for processing such data and partly on other legislation. First of all you have the right to be informed about the processing of your personal data. On the web pages ”Informing data subjects” we tell you in more detail how your personal data will be processed.
Depending on the situation, you enjoy the following rights:
Right to withdraw consent
If your personal data are processed on the basis of your consent, you will still be able to withdraw your consent by contacting the contact person of the data controller.
Right to inspect the data (right of access)
You have the right to know if the data controller, i.e. the North Savo wellbeing services county, processes personal data related to you. You also have the right to know what personal data relating to are processed and how. You moreover have the right to receive a copy of any personal data on you, to the extent that giving the copy will not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others, or provided that the data controller has no legal basis for refusing disclosure of the data. Right to rectification
As a rule, you have the right to have any inaccurate or incorrect data rectified. The controller shall assess whether the data requested to be rectified is incomplete, inaccurate or incorrect. Read more about the Right to rectification.
Right to erasure
You have the right to request the erasure of your data, for example, if you object to the processing of your personal data and there is no justified reason for their processing. Read more about the Right to erasure.
Right to restriction of processing
You may have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data in cases provided for by law. The right of restriction may be relevant, for example, if you consider that the personal data concerning you are incorrect or they are being unlawfully processed, or you have objected to the processing of your data. In that case, we may only rely on specific statutory grounds for processing your personal data that are subject to restrictions. Read more about the Right to restriction of processing.
Right to data portability
You may have the right to transmit your data from one system to another. This right only applies to occasions on which your personal data are processed automatically; the data have been provided by you; the processing is based on your consent or agreement, and; the transfer will not adversely affect third parties. Right to object to processing of personal data
You may have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, in other words, to request that your data will not be processed at all. A right to object could exist, for example, when your data are processed for scientific research purposes or for the performance of a task in the name of public interest. The right not to be subject to automated decision-making
You have the right to require that decisions concerning you be made by a human and not by automated decision-making. Automated decision-making means that a decision that produces legal effects is made solely by means of automated data processing. Such situations are highly exceptional in our activities. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to submit the lawfulness of the activities of the data controller, i.e. the Wellbeing services county of North Savo, for evaluation by the Data Protection Ombudsman.
