Physician’s reception

Physician’s reception

You can get help from your own municipality's health station or health centre to obtain health care or treatment for an illness if you do not need immediate emergency attention.

A registered nurse assesses the need for care on the basis of your symptoms.

If required, a health professional guides you to the reception of a physician, health care provider or other specialist, or you will obtain home treatment instructions to support your recovery at home.

You can get an appointment with a physician at a health station / health centre or arrange a remote reception.

The physician's reception service includes, among other things, emergency reception at a health station / health centre, Enska (first) reception, urgent reception and non-urgent appointments, as well as remote physician's reception.

Do the following

Before you make contact, you can assess your need for care online at terveyskyla.fi or omaolo.fi.

In Terveyskylä (Health Village), you can also find health-related advice, risk tests and instructions for self-care.
The instructions help you to evaluate when there is reason to request a professional treatment need assessment.

Contact your municipality's health station or health centre by calling the municipality-specific nurse’s telephone number. Some health stations / health centres provide the opportunity to make an electronic appointment with a physician.
