Internships
Internships play a vital role in health care and social services education, supporting each student's professional development. Every year, approximately 4,000–5,000 students from higher education and upper secondary institutions complete their internships with us.
The recent shift to the wellbeing services county model has brought changes to internship-related services. The support provided by educational specialist and student coordinators at the Center for Multidisciplinary Learning (Monialaisen oppimisen keskus, MOK) covers all fields of study across the entire wellbeing services county of North Savo.
Internship opportunities are available in various sectors, including specialized services (such as specialized medical care), family and disability services, basic services, elderly care, and rescue services.
For questions regarding internship arrangements or available placements, please contact a student coordinator. For matters related to student supervision, supervisor training, or the development of learning environments, reach out to our education specialists.
